The accompanying instruments for the accreditation of the study programmes in all five federal medical professions (Human, Dental and Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy and Chiropractic Medicine) include:

The quality standards and guidelines for self-evaluation were compiled by the OAQ in cooperation with the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and approved by the Swiss Medical Interfaculty Conference (SMIC), the Swiss University Conference (SUC) and the Swiss Accreditation Council. The accompanying instruments for Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy and Chiropractic Medicine were adapted to the professional characteristics.
The quality standards comply with international demands according to the Global Standards for Quality Improvement in Medical Education, European specifications, of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME) as well as with national requirements defined by the MedBG and the Federal Law on Financial Aid to Universities (UFG).
